England: Child killer suspect refuses to appear in court

Englishman Axel Rudakubana, who is suspected of killing three children, refused to answer at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, when he was asked about his identity and what he says about the crimes he is accused of, whether he admits or denies them.

This is what Rudakubana is accused of doing in Merseyside on July 29, when he was 17 years old.  He is believed to have done it with a knife.

Not 18-year-old Rudakubana stepped foot in court as he was read to the jury for all the charges against him while he was in Belmarsh Children’s Prison.

Judge Goose asked Rudakubana to confirm if this name is his, he refuses to answer, the jailer is asked if this young man is listening to what is being said in court, he confirms that he is listening.

Rudakubana was read the crimes he was accused of, he was asked to say something about it but he did not answer.  All he did was shake his head and put his head on his knees.

The judge asked the young man what he had to say about the crime of ricin poisoning and possession of the Al Qaeda teaching document, which was found during the search, but he did not answer either.

The judge decided that in Rudakubana’s case, it is written that he denies all the crimes he is accused of.

He also told him that his trial will begin on January 20, 2025, which will last four weeks, and assured him that he will be released from Belsmarsh Prison, which is close to the court.

Canada: The Prime Minister is being asked to resign

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is under intense pressure from his party to resign, after some members of his cabinet criticized his handling of the country’s budget.

Those in his Liberal Party took the first step in putting pressure on him, except that there is no legal way to immediately remove him.

The possible way is that the man who has been leading Canada for almost 10 years would resign, otherwise his party will be trusted by the opposition in the Parliament, which will immediately lead to the preparation of another election.

The man has been criticized for how during his reign life has become more expensive in Canada, prices have risen in markets, insecurity has increased and life has become more difficult.

The crisis was exacerbated when former Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned, saying she did not agree with Turdeau’s handling of the country’s struggling economy, especially as Donald Trump could increase the 25% tax on imports Canada enters the United States.

In order for Turdeau to strengthen his party, he may choose to resign early, avoiding a confidence-building election.  If he were to resign earlier, his party would have another chance to elect a successor to lead the party on an interim basis until elections are held.
