There is a study of how chaos in land use can be broken
The National Land Agency has started to discuss with the deputy heads of different regions in the country and those who work in land services on improving the use and management of land, cutting the chaos that still exists.

The land use plan at the national level, prepared according to the 2050 vision of Rwanda that we want, where it is planned that this year the population of the country will be 25,800 million, if there is compliance with family planning programs, they will be a million 21,100 from over 13 million in 2022.

Some of the officials who participated in the five-day talks, also believe that there were still problems related to the use and management of the land, but when they started to see the master plan, some of these problems are being solved.

Gashema Janvier, the deputy mayor of Nyaruguru District in charge of economic development, said: “What we are happy about is that we have started to see plans approved by the cabinet to help us implement land use because there are obstacles, but we are still looking for solutions with the help of plans. , is about protecting farmland and living in a well-planned manner.”

The Executive Director of Nyarugenge District, Uwamahoro Jenevieuve also said, “We are learning together what can be done to implement what was planned for the land and then help the people to implement their land in line with what was planned, because there are residents but their land is in agriculture, now things have changed agriculture, we will negotiate for them to live in the designated area.

The Director General of the Land Institute, Nishimwe Marie Grace, says that discussions with leaders from different regions will help them to implement respect for the use and management of land, so that the people will know how to use their land.

He said: “One of the expectations in these discussions is to improve the use and management of land by cutting out clutter, that is why plans have been created that show the activities intended for the land in each district, instead of living separately and farming and other activities, the next thing is campaigning. so that the citizen knows exactly what his land is intended to be used for.”

It is planned that the cultivated area will be increased to 12,433 square kilometers, forests and other areas will have 7,000 square kilometers, where cities are built, government buildings, etc. will be 3,980 square kilometers, and water and its trees are Roads protected by wetlands will reach 2,200 square kilometers.

There are currently 101 cities where housing sites are planned, and in the rural areas, about 3000 sites have been planned, where it is planned that at least in each cell there will be a housing site.
