Based on this general knowledge, we have compiled a list of the smallest countries in the world.All countries are grouped into continents, which may have as many as 324, but those recognized by the international community are 197, as seen in 5 continents: Africa, Europe, Asia, America and Oceania.
We recall that there are five continents that appear on the United Nations (UN) list, but there are also other documents that add the Antarctic continent, which is not often counted because it is mainly inhabited by animals, and a 7th continent called Zealandia, which is said to have been recently discovered and is located in the Pacific Ocean in the Western Hemisphere.
