Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, passed away on his 100th birthday.

Yesterday, December 29, 2014, Jimmy Carter, who became the first president of the United States of America and the oldest living US president, passed away on his 100th birthday. Jimmy Carter, who served as president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, died Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia, a year after his death.

No cause of death was immediately released, although Carter had been receiving medical care for nearly two years while at home following treatment for skin cancer.

Carter celebrated his 100th birthday in October. The news of his death was first announced by the Carter Foundation.

This is the organization that President Carter founded a year after leaving the White House. Through X, you said: “The founder of this organization, former President of the United States of America, Jimmy Carter, passed away this afternoon in Plains, Georgia.”

Jimmy Carter’s wife, Rosalynn Carter, died at the age of 76 in November 2023.

Although he only served one term, the former Georgia bean farmer-turned-US president left a lasting legacy of peace in his life, both during and after his presidency.

This included winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for the Carter Center’s work in combating various diseases and conflict around the world.

Following the announcement of this sad news, various dignitaries, including US President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Panamanian President Jose Mulino, sent messages of condolences to the survivors and the US-Mexican community in general.

It’s a strong loss to America and even the world in general to lose an important man like Jimmy, but it’s the way everyone must pass, so in simple words, let’s wish him to rest in paradise.
