Including Sefu, the list of players removed from the Amavubi national team 

The new coach of the Rwanda national team for the CHAN, Jimmy Mulisa, has decided to release some players ahead of the two matches [first and second leg] in which Rwanda will face the South Sudan national team.

 Only seven players were released, and the most surprising thing is that among those released is Niyonzima Olivier “Sefu,” who has been performing well for Rayon Sports for a few days. 

Other players released include defender Nshimiyimana Yunussu of the national army team “APR FC,” Mugiraneza Frodouard of APR FC, who plays in the central midfield, Benedata Janvier of AS Kigali, who plays in the central midfield, Usabimana Olivier, who plays as a striker for Marines FC, Habimana Yves, who plays as a striker for Rutsiro FC, and Bizimana Yannick, who plays as a striker for Bugesera FC. 

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Rwandan national team, “Amavubi,” of the CHAN began training in preparation for the two qualifying matches for this tournament that will be held in three countries: Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Despite this, there are problems in this team.

“The Rwandan national team is looking for a ticket to CHAN 2025,” but the only problem is that it has been decided that Jimmy Mulisa will be the one to coach it, and Habimana Sosthène ‘Lumumba’ will be the one to replace him. 

The Rwandan national team for the CHAN has its first match on December 22, 2024, while the second leg is scheduled for December 28, 2024, with both matches determining who will qualify for the 2025 CHAN.

Niyonzima Olivier Sefu has been performing well for Rayon Sports for the past few days, scoring two goals in a win over Muhazi United. Sefu had not played for a while due to disagreements with coach Robertihno.
