Nigerian Ademola Lookman won the African Footballer of the Year award on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Marrakesh, Morocco, beating out his four other competitors.
This young man, who plays for Atalanta in Italy, was one of the best performers last season in terms of winning trophies and scoring goals.
He won the UEFA Europa League with Atalanta last season, defeating Bayer 04 Leverkusen 3-0, all by Ademola Lookman, who scored in the 12th, 26th, and 75th minutes.
This young man also helped the Nigerian national team to play in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, but they were unable to win it because they lost in the final to the Ivory Coast national team by two goals to one (2-1).
