The European Union (EU) has banned Air Tanzania’s flights from its airspace, due to non-compliance with the quality regulations that govern the companies allowed to operate in that airspace.

Air Tanzania is one of the airlines included in the list known as EU Air Safety List, which shows the companies that are not allowed to operate air travel in Europe.

In order for the company to be included in the list, the evaluations that have been carried out by the aviation authority of the country of origin of the company and to see if the company already has the integrity of air travel are considered.

It means that Air Tanzania is not allowed to operate in Europe, and it is a sign to the international travelers who used to use it that they should be independent.

If the company implements the issues it has been exposed to, it may be removed from the list.

Kenya: they killed a crocodile after eating a child

Residents of Bugesa area, Isiolo district in Kenya killed a crocodile after it ate a 13-year-old boy named Hassan Jaldesa.

The child had gone to feed the livestock. A crocodile grabbed his leg when he had been swimming in the Ewaso Nyiro River for about five minutes.

The people, mostly young people, were angered by this story, took up arms, and went to hunt the crocodile. As they had decided, they took hold of her, cut her belly, and removed the remains of the child’s body. They then decided to go and bury him.

Galgalo Malicha, a relative of Jaldesa, explained that about 100 youths took up arms and went to hunt the crocodile. When they killed the first one, they found that it was not the one who killed him, and they killed the second one who had drowned him.

The director of Bulesa, Hassan Guyo, announced that three people were injured while hunting the crocodile. One of them is being treated at Isiolo Hospital.

Recently, six people have been killed by crocodiles in this area. Guyo reported the incident to the National Wildlife Agency.

In 2023, President William Ruto announced that the government will provide 960 million shillings to help families who have faced such problems. The people are just asking for the compensation to be paid quickly and efficiently.
