ABC News, one of the largest in the United States, has agreed to pay Donald Trump $15 million after he went to court accusing him of publishing false news.

On December 14, 2024, ABC News agreed to the court that it will pay damages to Donald Trump, who accused the newspaper of publishing falsehoods aimed at defaming him in relation to the case in which he was accused of raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

This $15 million will not be given to Donald Trump, but will be transferred to the fund and museum established by Donald Trump.

Additionally, ABC News was ordered to pay $1 million to Trump’s attorneys in the case.

Trump’s recent election as the 47th President of the United States of America and ABC News began on March 10, 2024 when reporter George Stephanopoulos announced that a court found Trump guilty of raping writer E.Jean Carroll, despite and come to change the decision later due to Trump’s efforts.

This information was published while the court found that there was no evidence to prove that Trump abused E. Jean Carroll in 1990 as he accused her. This led to the $83 million Trump had asked to pay Carroll and refused to pay him because he was not convicted of a crime.

The fact that this ABC News reporter announced that Trump was convicted of this crime but the court did not convict him is what made this man immediately appeal to the courts. He accuses the newspaper of publishing falsehoods aimed at defaming him, saying it would affect his campaign.

In addition to the fact that ABC News is going to pay this money to Trump, it was also ordered that it should publish a document apologizing to him publicly as he had publicly announced this news.
