Israel Mbonyi Kandi, in this show, shared a lot about his ten-year journey in music, saying that he himself is truly a walking testimony. He explained to Rwandans that when he started music in 2011, he had no hope of reaching where he is now. He said that when he was making music in India, it was very difficult, given that some of the halls where he performed had idols hanging in them, but that did not stop him from praising the gods.
Here, Kandi thanked one of the producers he worked with on his first songs, including “Number One,” which he also sang, and said that he was the one who bought him the first guitar he used. During the show, the artist also praised his family, saying that he is happy that they support him even though they don’t like to be on camera, but he appreciates their role in his music.
He continued by thanking some of the partners who supported him in making his show a success, including Airtel, World Vision, and others. Mbonyi’s concert was marked by great joy, as he also attempted to sing some of his most popular songs. He sang songs including Nina Siri, Number One, Like a Soldier, Hari Ibira, Icyamba, Umukunzi, Nitaaamini, Ndakubabariye, and various others.
This artist once again showed Rwandans that he is capable, and he also thanked them for supporting him, taking the opportunity to thank the large team of singers and musicians who have worked together peacefully for ten years and are still together.
The show ended at midnight, with reports saying it grossed around 73 million Rwandan francs. Singer The Ben and Aline Gahongayire attended Mbonyi’s concert.
