After two coaches, Rwasamanzi and Frank, who coached the Amavubi, went on leave at their request, leaving the Amavubi National Team with only Jimmy MULISA as their coach, Musanze FC head coach, Habimana Sosthène, is set to replace Rwasamanzi Yves as assistant coach of the Amavubi National Team as they prepare to face South Sudan in the final qualifiers for the 2024 CHAN. 

South Sudan will host the first leg in Juba on December 22, while the second leg will be held in Kigali on December 28, 2024. Amavubi held training sessions yesterday, and two Rayon players, Kanamugire Roger and Serumogo Ali, were added to the Amavubi National Team. Fitina Ombarenga did not remain in the national team due to an injury. 

The Rwandan Premier League’s first round ended yesterday with the 13th match, which was also the last, where Vision FC drew 1-1 with Etincelles FC at Kigali Pelé Stadium. 

The league resumes this Friday with the 14th matchday. Teams with more than three players in the national team will not play these matches.

It is expected that today, about 10 APR FC players will join the rest of the national team, Amavubi. The Peace Cup matches will be played today, with the playoffs being played.

Today in the Coppa Italia in the 1/8, Juventus will host Cagliari. Lamine Yamal’s injury sustained in the 1-0 defeat to Leganes will keep him out for between 3-4 weeks, meaning he will not return until 2025.
