The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of China, Senior Colonel Wu Qian, said that it will not be possible to separate the country, and that it has the right to conduct military exercises whenever they see the need.

This comes after some criticized the Chinese military’s military exercises near the island of Taiwan, which they said were inappropriate.

Senior Colonel Wu said that China has the right to carry out this exercise whenever it wants, stressing that it depends on what the military wants to do depending on the time.

The speaker also criticized countries that want to isolate China, saying that they are supporting Taiwan to find ways to deal with China. He stressed that this will not be achieved.

“Any attempt to split China in half, through foreign aid or force, will not be tolerated, nor will it achieve its goals,” he said.

China has repeatedly criticized the United States’ support for Taiwan, including weapons of mass destruction.

It is while the President of China, Xi Jinping, said that Taiwan’s reunification with China is something that must be achieved through all possible means, both peaceful and military.

South Korea’s National Assembly resigns President Yoon

South Korea’s parliament impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol after he declared martial law in early December 2024, a decision that has created a tense atmosphere in the country’s politics.

The resolution to impeach President Yoon was voted by 204 members of the House, 85 against, while three were in favor, eight votes were null and void.

The Constitution of South Korea stipulates that in order for the President to be impeached, it requires the approval of ⅔ of the members of the National Assembly. When these sounds are found, they are temporarily blocked.

After the votes required for the impeachment of President Yoon are obtained, it is planned that he will stop working and will be temporarily replaced by the Prime Minister, Han Duck-soo.

While President Yoon is temporarily suspended from office, the Constitutional Court will make the final decision, after reviewing the recommendations of the Assembly.

If this court agrees with the Assembly, it will ensure that President Yoon is permanently suspended, and the Prime Minister continues to rule until another President is elected, through elections.
